Went out with Matt to T-bird for a good night stalk and was it ever a good one.
I hate to admit it, but we both actually got tired of catching fish sometime around 3-4am. It became no longer fishing but catching.
We had Crappie at 6-8ft Sandies right below 'em at 10 ft then at around 12 ft we had ,catch this one, DRUM, tons of em. Then around 14 ft or so it was more sandies. All stacked up on each other. We could tell which fish were gonna haul in just by our depth we dropped the line to. Was a blast.
Heres a few pics of the evening........
Poles out
More poles out
Matt checking on the bite and snacking
Dawn breaking and time to head in
The final haul (thats a BIG ice chest btw)
Thats Limit of crappie on the dot (74) and I never did get the final count on the Sandies. Matt would have to give you that total![]()
Mostly jigs I assume?
Jeremiah 16:16a "But now I will send for many fishermen," declares the Lord, "and they will catch them."

Great post...reminds me why I LOOOOOVE fishing over in Oklahoma...and why I have that OU tattoo on my right shoulder----that's the promise land over there...come see Beaver Lake Arkansas sometime, perfect for nightstalking as well....looks like a nice setup....do you utilize both flourescent and white lighting? That's how we do it here, just curious how you do it? MinnowMan
"EVERY PRO WAS A ROOKIE ONCE!!!"
Send me some GPS of a few Piles and we might head uplol
Actually we use the cheapo Little submersible lights from wal-mart. We experimented with different colors and lengths and it really doesnt matter much in T-bird. waters so stained its all the same to the baitfish i believe.
Oh back to Grubby's post.
I usually fish mainly Jogs while matt is opposite..alll minnows. But The bite was so fast and furious I never even pulled the jig box out of my boat bag. THATS a good night on the water![]()
