I have resorted to catching sandbass for now and killing them also I hate it but I am patiently waiting for the lakes to stablize to start catching slabs again

Laugh my big butt off! Last time I resorted to catching those scum of the waters was about 13 years ago down on Horseshoe Bend. Nothin at all was hitting other than sandies in a constant feeding frenzy. Me and another guy spent 1.5 hours wearing ourselves out to the point of just being tired of catching them. We went back to chasin bass and small mouths up the river.
I wouldn't eat a sandie if all the red was removed. They really suck.
