Thread: Oklahoma Get together

Am wondering about changing the dates on this. The weather has been so horrible and the lake is chocolate milk. I don't want to change it if anyone has reserved their spot though. Please let me know your feelings on this folks. It may be better later in the fall at this point. There has been concerns about mother day and a lot of concerns on weather and flooding so I want to open this to the fishermen and women. Let me know your feelings so we can plan this thing.

I was contemplating too...
We would be tent camping if we came Friday and I don't feel like sleeping in a mud pit.

So I was thinking of making a day trip of it. I could be to Eufaula State Park by 10:00am, which brought up my next concern. What the tentative schedule of the day would be, i.e. boats in, lunch....

Also, Eufaula State Park has about 5-6 different camp areas, which one is the meet? Dogwood Drive, Picken's Lake, Hummingbird Beach, Deep Fork, Lakeview Circle, Black Jack, Longhorn Loop...

If we do postpone this, I should have my boat ready by the next time

Hey fellows, You guys are planning this on the muddies part of the lake this time of year. You must remember how big this lake is. If you guys want a hott tip on where the fishing is hot right now, you are going to have to go further south (around arrowhead) I live here and I have never seen the lake around arrowhead choc. muddy like on the north end. Just a thought. I think this is a good thing that ya'll are trying to do. Hope this helps.

Me too...!!! Wife graduates this weekend and ya'll don't wanna fish without us!!!

I think it would be wise to postpone. It's late in the game but my gut feeling is we would have a better time and a much better turn out later on. Please forgive me if any gets upset but I am trying to consider the whole playing field here and it could even be dangerous. There are some who are not tournament fishermen that want to do this who would not have a good fishing experience. I feel as though I could catch fish anywhere anytime and I know some of you others are as good or better but there are others who would not even want to fish in these conditions. If anyone gets offended it's my fault and I apologize but I really don't want a tragedy on my conscience and the water is just not right for a family fun event.

So I feel as though it should be postponed. I am going to Eufaula Saturday so if anyone wants to scream at me Hmmmmm Find me on the water.
