Are you boat fishing or bank fishing? We have been doing very good on the main part of the lake. We took home 25 yesterday morning boat fishing and went back yesterday evening and brought home 29 more bank fishing. We also caught several that were to small and several black bass.I also caught a 15 lb buffalo, but no sand bass.We used minnows and jigs in the morning and only jigs in the evening. Allen

Crappie500, Hey from another Sand springs fisherman. I have been going to Okmulgee Lake and just wearing them out. Me too.
I've done all the fishing I want to do, I'm into the catching.

Hey Fish.on, I have been interested in trying Okmulgee lake for a while now. Would be about an hour drive for me. Are there good places to fish from the shoreline and what color jigs would you suggest?

    Thanks,

    John

I have never fished the shoreline John. I always fish it out of a boat. I use salmon colored jigs and hot pink jigs in a maribou type on that particular lake and just tear the fish up. I wish I could be of more help on where to bank fish but I really don't even know where to begin to tell you to go. I have heard that the discharge area out of Dripping Springs into Okmulgee lake is good but I have never fished it and don't know if you can even get to it by boat. I usually fish around the fishing buoy in one particular cove. There are some good brush piles if you look around.
C500 I will definitely send you a pm and we will go catching some time. Keystone is one of my favorite lakes. (when it's not chocolate milk colored).

    Default keystone-salt creek area

New to the board and was planning on going to keystone this weekend. Should I go there or try a different lake?

Welcome JLV. Since the rain has started I have not fished keystone but am planning a trip tomorrow. If I catch them I will let everyone know. If I don't I will lie! HA HA. JK I will post my findings..
