Any oologah regulars been out lately? Rather, has anyone fished bigO since the cold front??
It was some prety hot action at spencer the week or two before that front came through. Though it's only been less than a week since it's warmed back up, has the water temp jumped back to where it was?
Fished keystone last Sunday when the wheather turned, the fishing was hard and not very good.. There where boats searching everywhere looking for the crappie. I know we saw a couple boats trying the corp piles that the crappie have been found spawn and pre-spawn..
Thought i'd try Oologah this weekend, hopefully it's clear water water will help bring them back out a little faster from where ever they've gone, really looking forward to finding them again..
Good luck to everyone who can make it out this weekend, remember to post some reports. I know if Oologah isn't on i'll be heading off to where they are at!
I haven't fished there in a couple weeks, but it's up 5 1/2 feet as of now. Plus the gates are open letting out a little more than 10,000 cfm a minute.
I'm anxious to hear the reports though, I'd like to get up there soon.
Man oologah is still screwed up. The water i was fishing was 65 degrees before the front and today it was 58. I caught tons before the front and today i caught 1 sandbass. Tried all my honey holes and nothing! didnt even see anyone catching anything. Probally not what you wanted to hear, maybe it will get better after this weekend of 80 degree weather.
Its all about how ya wiggle it!
haha yea, that's definitely not what i wanted to hear, thought it's not unexpected. Tomorrow's going to be an expeditionary trip, though i'm encouraged by fish.on finding them in clear water on Okmulgee Lake, so i'll probably start off at where he was catching in "12-19 foot of water on small pink jigs about 9-12 foot deep over brush".
Hopefully similar water conditions on Oologah will make things easy, else i'm breaking out the map & finding Okmulgee Lake..
good luck
