I bought a new Humminbird fish finder a couple weeks back, but it came with a transom mount transducer. I bought the new one for the front of my boat needing a trolling motor transducer.
Humminbird has a transducer exchange program where you can send the new one back to them, and they'll send the one you want shipped free.
So, I sent mine back and they received it last Monday, and I got the new one today. Now that's service. I just wish the crappie had that type of customer support for me!
All I run is humminbirds a 997csi at the wheel and 87c on the front I have had nothing but great luck with them and their service also

Lowrance will also exchange transducers for new units.
We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing."
