    Default Hi Friends, new to the Oologah area.


    My family recently relocated to the Oologah lake area. We are relatively new to fishing, so we don't have a boat, nor technology to find drop offs or brush piles, so I'm wondering if you could share with me some good places to bank fish? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated!

    Welcome aboard. There are some places to fish just below the parking lot at Vada Point (Talala creek), there are fishing docks in A-loop and B-loop down by the dam, there is good bank fishing from the bluffs at Spencer creek, and you can walk to the Blue creek strip pit from the county road.

    Glad you and your family are here and hope you all fine plenty of Oklahoma hospitality! Be sure and keep us updated on your fishing trips and post plenty of pic of your catches, also if you are new to Crappie.com there is a search bar up at the top of your page and there you will find the treasure trove when it comes to crappie information including lots of info about Oologah.

    deerhunterodie is a guide on oologah. it would be worth your time and money to hire him one day to have him show where all these places are and techniques and colors that are great for this lake!!
