I know this isnt much help now...but I lived there when I was stationed at Tinker. I used to catch lots of big crappie from the bank in a cove on the north side of the lake off beetle spins. LIke i said I know its not much help today, but if they were there then theyll be there now. As with any lake - it will take some time to learn the lake and find the fish. But they're there. Good Luck.

Do you know which cove it was? I am from this area by the north leg of the lake has tons of coves. Do you know if the cove was on the east/west or north?

    Thanks,

    Ethan.

Willow branch cove on NE side of lake as mentioned above has a lot of submerged trees. I’ve done real well here. Been meaning to go up the little river but just never have. Maybe I’ll give tbird a shot again this year. Didn’t fish it last year.

I believe I was in that cove last weekend! Just across from the marina there. Dr. Nip, do you take your Jon that you completed on tinboats there?

You bet I do. Looking to upgrade boat next year though to a bugger boat for the whole family.
