kept 25 today. 5 were males. largest male 1.5 lbs. Largest female. 1.7 lbs
1/16 oz pro built jig head (cowboy orange or sooner red) Plastic a shadpole curly tail light blue w chart tail. Worked slowly for me.

Nice to look in live well and be able to see your catch. Used to Eufaula where they all disappeared.

left them biting with lost of bigger fish but had my limit of heat.

Were the females up shallow yet ? Still full of eggs ?

The last group around noon was in 3-4 ft water. any closer to bank was a lot of slimy moss. bigger females were as ready as any I have ever seen. others were not far off. Eggs had a lot of blood but were not oozing eggs if you handled them in body area.

Thanks for the info. I think we are planning to head out tomorrow before sunrise id the weather allows.

I am thinking of fishing oolagah Thursday and Friday from the bank. I will be traveling from Okc and a reliable source mentioned that the strip pits in blue creek is a good place to start. Can anyone give me directions how to get there?

Bite was real slow for me yesterday (Thursday). Hooked 5, kept 5, all good size. Largest Male 1lb, 12 oz. All were spawned out. Monkey shine. no minners, but cpl of boats with minners did better. lower lake.

That's the way it was down here on Gibson this week live bait in deeper water, guess were looking at post spawn patterns now.

Fished from 10 to 2:30 brought home 26 all over 11" prob threw back 10 t0 20 10 inchers. Was in brush about 10 fow.
