    Default Waurika Lake

Would any of you be interested in volunteering for a brush pile day at Waurika sometime later in the year? This is NOT set in stone yet, but I have been working on it quite a bit to make this happen. It is not a 100% a go just yet, but I have been seeing what it would take to get a couple barge type boats and some wooden crates gathered to use for a day and probably cook out hamburgers and hot dogs for everyone involved. Shooting for mid September, but that is just an estimate right now.

Let me know what you guys think..

You may have to hunt for participation as most of the okies on the forum are pretty tied to NE Oklahoma. That said, I would help if I can get it on my schedule with no conflicts. I'm in OKC (unless at 10Killer or during bird season.) Waurika might be a good lake to hit in the Winter when the boat is at the house. Let me know how it progresses.

Did this fall through or actually happen?

That’s a bummer. Is there a good place on here to get info about waurika? We used to catch them about 30yds from Corum bridge. Do people still successfully fish there?

I haven't fished it this year, but we've made several trips over the last few years. The spot you mentioned has been good, as well as the dam and a spot east of Corum bridge, where you drive down a dirt road.

I will more than likely make several trips there in the next two weeks. We’ll see how it goes.
