Tough bite yesterday up there size is up and numbers are down I kept around 25 with one real hog well over 2 lbs they are starting to bite jigs better than the past few weeks but minnows were the ticket for me water is dingy with the recent rain
I am going to be in Sperry, OK if you know where that is this weekend. Not sure how far that is but I would assume about an hour seeing how it's foggy in my memory, haha. You going to be out fishing this weekend at all? Hope all is well, minnows seem to always be the SURE way.Originally Posted by Big George

well i went out today for few hrs. i cauhgt a lot of 10inch, only few that went even 11-12 inches. i threw all the fish back today. the water temp is around 72. i was fishing in 18-20ft of water. i went to the bank around 10am and fish those brush piles around 16-18ft. i didnt even get a bite. i had to get off the bank aprrox 200-300yrds from the shore and fish the 18-20ft brush piles to get a bite. i did notice the crappie were suppending around the brush today. all my fish came off minows. i hope this report helps somebody.

Whats going on with the crappie, i fished copan the last two days and not one good keeper, all i caught were dinks. I didnt find them deep what i caught were about 6-8 foot deep. Are they missed up because of the unstable weather.
I am fairly certain of that Tim with all the fronts moving thru if you didnt catch them tight to wood my guess is that most are roaming around suspended chasing shad or just out there milling around long lining jigs or spidering would be the ticket I bet for better catches and most important finding the shad that is what I will be doing when I fish again this week
can anybody sudgest any places on kaw or around that area?
Big G. we need to get together, were you can show me how to spider rig.

Caught a nice mess spiderrigging in spencer and talah some up to 15. I was hovering over deep brush and just keeping the boat in about the same spot.
