Was told to ask Big George for help on t-bird
I am going to be going out to t-bird tonight and was looking for some tips. Somewhat new to chasin' crappie .....spent to much time bass fishin! Anyways will be fishing at night and was wondering if floating or submersible lights work better? And also what color of light or does it matter. Was thinking about the brush and stickups in hog creek area or possibly the brushin the clear bay arm. I am kinda thinking both areas might be a little shallow. Also minnows or jigs or both? Any and all info appreciated. Thanks

Hey there Luke, SD West or Matt that hang around this board would be able to put you right on them over there they night stalk at TBird some and I would for sure use minnows. as for the lights either would be ok just as long as they shine and draw bait I would set up on a river channel edge if there is one running thru the lake or a deeper creek channel edge with brush near by I wouldnt set rigtht up over brush as I am told if fish are in the piles you must set up before dark with the lights as just rolling up to the piles and dropping lights will spook the fish for a while always remember that creek channels or river channels are used as highways by crappie to move around to feed best of luck Big George

Appreciate it. Hopefully I will have something positive to report tomorrow! I think that has been one of the problems is getting there to late and setting up. We still have been catching fish...just not as many as I would like.
