My fishing buddy and I caught 72 keepers on TBird on Thursday. Fished in clear bay, between 8 and 11 in the morning and then trowled for about an hour and caught a couple of channel cats and four large sand bass. All the crappie were caught on the same two condos we have fished all summer. We have caught over 500 crappie from those two condo's which are side by side since June. All but about 6 from jigs, were caught on minnows. Water is going down, they were in 13 1/2 ft, but now 11 1/2. Still in the same pattern, drop to the bottom and raise it up about 6-7 inches and float the bait constantly so you can feel any heavness or ticks on the line. Tuff fishing, but once we got the pattern we almost limited out before it started getting so hot we had to move out in the main body of the lake to get some breeze.

and took home a limit this morning. I am thrilled that this pattern has lasted all summer long. These condos really hold the fish.
with PVC pipe. I just won't waste money on condo's that will rot away. PVC last forever.
also only you will know where they are since they don't show up on the scope

Question: Do the PVC condos show up on locators? A buddy has been wanting to build some and put out for Bass as well as Crappie.
they show up looking like a bar chart on a chart. Long vertical bars. Some time if they are deep they look like fish stacked up vertically
we only caught 57 keepers. But good news, I caught the largest Sand Bass I have ever seen or caught while trowling. 25" long and very broad in the sholders. Man what fun.
BudsBoy...congrats, sounds like you been tearing them up. Listen, I live in Northwest Arkansas, but I have been speaking with several from OK...I actually am from Owasso, Claremore, Collinsville, born in Ponca City. I love the area and would like to learn more about the crappie fishing, how did you contruct these condos? Thanks
Caleb
