Hey guys I can do some leg work as I am on the disabled list right now. I think it would be cool to get a Crappiemaster tournament here, if they will come to Oklahoma and even an Oklahoma Crappie Club started. We would probobly just need some interest to get the ball rolling. I would like to see some local Oklahoma tournaments that are run with the fishermen in mind and to make our sport attractive to the new generation of fishermen. I've been to tournaments and left scratching my head a few times. We have some of the best Crappie fishing anywhere in the world right here. So if anyone is interested or if there is a local Oklahoma association that does what they say they will do and I don't know about it. I would like to see a Oklahoma Crappie Association put on by fishermen for fishermen. I'm not throwing stones but joined one and never even received my membership packet. Placed high in a couple of them and the payouts were different than advertised. Again I am interested in Oklahoma having some fishing fun. I love this sport and would like to see it flourish.
I've done all the fishing I want to do, I'm into the catching.
What part of OK. are you talking about? I am intereested in a club around the Joplin, MO area. I have been looking for tournaments on Grand Lake if you hear of anything let me know please
I am ready to help put something together with anyone that wants to I know we can get at least 15 boats to fish I suggested before that events be held on 3 lakes such as Ft Gibson Eufalala and Olougha the reason I say this is I ask around and most guys thought that was a good idea I am sure that there would be more fish but I think 15 boats to start would not be a problem starting off of course you would have to schedule around the other tournaments. I know thre will most likely be several upcoming events next year here in Okieland that are in the works about right now My main concern is how much entry fee would be right for everyone is 100 dollars to much ??? What do you guys think??
I received an E-Mail from the crappiemasters people and they are planning one on Gibson and one on Eufaula for 07. Crappie USA usually has one scheduled here and so does CAST. But I was more into the fishermen for fishermen by fishermen. I think if we got a club going here it would attract more attention and we could share information. We could have more local outings and local tournys. So let's get together Oklahoma and come up with some ideas. I like Grand Lake I've won money there a few times. I also like some of the other lakes that don't get any attention. Tenkiller and Broken Bow, Texoma, Kaw, Hudson just to name a few. I think some $75.00 to $100.00 tournaments maybe even some $25.00 local tournys and if you wanted to travel, great, come on. If we can get some interest I think let's go for it. Do we want a membership charter and a name? If so how about some ideas. We got a lot of great fishing and a lot of great fishermen so let's get er done.

I used to live in Grove Slab. They used to have a Grand Lake Crappie Club. You could probobly ask at Bernice and they could tell you. Indian Hills has a local Grand Lake tourny every spring and fall you will have to contact them for the dates though
