Hey guys. I've followed this site for the last month or 2 and this is my 1st post. I appreciate all of the info you pass along. I've got 3 kids that are of fishing age. (9-14) My nine year old thinks catching anything other than a Crappie is a waste of time. He turned 9 today and I want to take him fishing. Where can a dad take a kid slab fishing without a boat. I live in Tulsa and we have fished FT Gibson and Eufala with minimal success. Any suggestions? If it helps in the hunt, I've got a 10 ft inflatable fishing "boat" we can use to access areas close to shore. Any help would be appreciated. Thx.
Daddyof4, Look at www.fishingnotebook.com
That is a site for your area that a bunch of guides and fishers in your area write into. You'll like it!!! <*)}}}><
You'll see the difference,,,on the end of your line!
Just 4 you Dad. Keystone has some awesome Crappie off the bank kinda spots. Go to the sonic turn N. Go to the oilfield equipment in the yard on the E and turn E right in front of it. Go to the end of the road and meander close to the lake until you come to a pond. May be dried up but you should see it. Drive close to the lake until you go into the trees for a ways. Couple of big curves and your almost there. Walk toward the lake and you will see a small island. Catch tons of crappie all around that area. Use your boat if you want between the island and the bank it dont hardly ever get any wind.
I've done all the fishing I want to do, I'm into the catching.
Try some of the enclosed docks around the lakes Keystone has one, skiatook has one. Hudson has one one of the better around that I have fished is on claremore lake hell it is airconditioned. good luck
Now that's one up on me Whack, I didn't know Claremore even had a dock, Air Conditioned, Hmmm. Got to check that out sometime.
