Alrighty guys, I am fixing to have a bit of time to fish. How deep have the Crappie on Oologah been lately? I'll give a report on what I find. I plan to go fight the heat today for awhile, but will have the girls starting tonight at 6. I might take them out with me some mornings this week, but, will have to call it short each trip due to the heat.
BG, have you been prefishing much?
I still don't know if I am fishing CAST, I am in talks with a possible sponser. Call me.

hey guys its good to be back on the board. the bass tournaments/shows/events are slowing, its time to hit the good old crappie holes. i went out yesterday 1st time this year, had moderate bit caught 10 good crappie apox 13-14 inches, caught 20 total. i was catching these around 18ft of water near brush. i notice they werent end the brush, just holding on they outside of it. apox 3-5ft away from it. i was using minnows by the way. the water temp was 79 to 80. i guess it need to be in the low 80's to mid 80's, to get these crappie in the deeper brush piles. that should happen quickly since the weather is getting hotter each week goes by. i hopes this help some you guys fishing this week.
red....
Thanks for the update Red, I still haven't got out yet. I have my girls this week, but will start hitting it hard next week.

Never fished below the dam, but have heard good things when they are releasing water. On the lake, check out 15' - 20' deep around brush. You should be able to find some.

. Shows piles placed by the Corps for last few years. Shows depth and marks the areas. These boys know their stuff. Click Brush piles and you can figure rest. Great GPS Coords. You CAST boys that don't know about this can get a good jumping off point this way.
I've done all the fishing I want to do, I'm into the catching.
Oh yeah, 14-18 foot deep in 18-25 foot of water has been good.
