Texoma
Any Texoma crappie fishermen out there? And, of course, I'm calling the Tishomingo refuge (Housetops, Pennington Cr., Rock Cr.) Texoma as well.

Any luck, jbvsbv? this summer has been particularly hard to find fish. I've tried spider rig, fast troll crankbaits, fished the bridges/brushpiles, ... not much luck. How bout you?

Caught around 40 large slabs at the housetops this year. Only been once but it was worth it.
I posted my pic on the brag board.

Finally took a look. Good catch. We were doing pretty good at the house tops until we got all that rain. I heard that water actuall back flowed from the Wa****a. We went back after the water dropped and didn't do so good. Have you fished the main lake any?

Texoma/Tishoming Areas
Been fishing the creeks/ponds forever but finally broke down and got a boat. Now I gotta figure out where to fish.
Sand creek and Rock creek off Cumberland pool look interesting, as do the housetops area.
Any advice? Looks like the water is about warm enough. 47 on the lake this weekend. Is Tishomingo a little shallower/warmer maybe?

housetop area
I have fished some but mainly duck hunted the cumberland cove area for years. Have never really paid much attention to what the different areas are called. Now that I am an avid fisherman, mainly crappie at Thunderbird, but have gone after stripers at Texoma, where is this housetop area you guys are talking about? A few of us are planning a trip there in the next 2 or 3 weeks and will be checking out several spots around the north end of Texoma.
