I snuck off to Arkansas to Lake Greeson this past weekend. my cousin Jason and his dad Jesse went with me. We caught quite a few crappie and had a blast. We stayed with my cousin Darryl Morris in Hot Springs and drove out to Greeson every day. We would catch them early on the cover in 20 FT of water at about 8 to 10 foot deep, but the fish would move up in 5 or 6 foot of water by noon. We fished 1to 2 foot deep around cover and was catching some quaility fish. I'm bad about not taking more pics, so here is the only pic from the last morning.

Nice report grubby. Darryl Morris has a great reputation for crappie in Arkansas. I wish he was my cousin and would let me fish Greeson with him. Greeson has some beautiful black crappie. Glad you made it home from Guam.
See ya Saturday.
Common sense isn't always that common!
Grubby, I've lived in Oklahoma off and on since the early 60's and I can honestly say the last 9 months of weather behavior has been some of the most bizarre and unusual I can ever remember.
Living in Oklahoma you get used to the quick changes and fluctuating weather patterns, but the last 9 months goes way beyond the usual "unusual" weather patterns associated with Oklahoma weather.
All of us look forward to the days ahead when our silly Oklahoma weather returns to simply being unusual and not bizarre for months on end.![]()

Welcome Home! Hope you at least get to enjoy some good spawn fishing.
A penny saved is a Congressional spending oversight.
Glad to hear you're back!
