    Default The Whirley Bird Lure

I have found a new lure that I think will be great for spider rigging for crappie and other types of fish. It is called a whirley bird and looks like a "little george"( no pun intended) When I throw it and it starts to sink the spinner helicopters down and does not tangle in the line. It also can be pulled or trolled and does not spin out. I am using a firetiger and a pink one in 1/8 oz. and 1/4 oz.They come in 1/8th, 1/4 and up to 1/2 oz. The blade is a small willowleaf on the 1/8th and a "turtleback" blade on the 1/4 oz.

They are neat looking and should do great. I will report back after fishing them.

I checked out their web site and it looks like that lure design might work better than the Little George. Could be a good lure for Sand Bass.
