I caught this crappie today on Lake Eufaula;
It weighed 2lbs, 4oz and was 15 inches long.
Sure was a fun one to catch and I was tickled to death when I got it up on the bank. I caught it on a minnow fishing around 10-12 feet deep. Today was cloudy and the wind was moderate blowing out of the northwest.
I'm still looking for that 3 pounder plus so it can go up on the wall as a trophy fish.:D
Never, never attempt to dry out shad in a $1000 Maytag convection oven......... never!
Nice fish Stink. Did you catch any more?
Odie
Common sense isn't always that common!

Great fish! I assume you were using a slip cork from the bank?
If I can be half the man my Dad is, or a fourth the man my Grandfather is, I can rest in peace that my time on earth meant something.
Very nice slab Crappie Stinkfinger. I'm planning on going out sometime this week if the wind will cooperate.

Yes Odie, I caught a total of 6 over about 2 hours, so it wasn't one of those days when you stay busy with the catching. The other 5 fish were just nice pan-sized crappie.
And yes, had to use a slip cork because they were out around 30-40 feet from the bank and too deep not to use a slip cork.
Thanks for the compliments and I wish you a windless day on your fishing trip Marv.:D

Thomas Jefferson said I had a God-given right to pursue happiness. What makes me happy is to take a mallard's head smooth off at about 20 feet!
