CC - thanks for the props. Enjoyed visiting with you as well. Looking forward to get together. Sorry to hear about your motor at Hugo - nothing quite so frustrating as equipment failure on a trip you've been salivating on for weeks!!!
Brian - I like two spots in Oklahoma for bluegill and redear - Pawhuska Lake up in Osage county and American Horse, out NW of OKC in Blaine co. Both are relatively small lakes. Both gin clear. Take a bucket of crickets and UL stuff and have a ball.

thank you guys very much I will defenitely keep those in mind and will try to check them out.

10-4 on American Horse. I have jerked so many jaws from the Horse over the years that I have to sneak in under the radar. I hear tell that I have a bounty on my head. The redear and gill are planning an ambush. Twice I have had bluegill come up to my boat, stick their head out of the water and spit at me. I may have to change out my boat for anew one so i can trick them some more. I am not called "Cricket George" for nothing.

PJ101 has commented about Pawhuska being a top notch perch poppin pond. i would have to add Brushy Creek at Sallisaw and Stillwell City Lake. These be great 2. There are a few more but that is another story for another time.

Correct me if I am wrong, but don't you have to have a trout license to fish Pawhuska Lake?

Yes you do during the trout season regardless of the species you are fishing for.
