Default Kaw Lake Ponca City Report

Fished Kaw Lake Saturday, Februay 20. Quite a few boats on the water and we were all catching crappie. Did not see any really good fish, but a lot of dinks. Most keepers were 1/2 - 1lb or so. Our boat caught 150 with 93 keepers. Lacked 18 fish to limit out for our crew of three.

Cold. Air temp never got above 38 and water temp was 34 - 37 all day.

Just realized we never took a picture. Oh, well.

    Default Washunga

Yes. North side of the bridge on the east side fairly close to the rocks. There were several boats on the west side, but we setup on the east side and found them there.

    Default tickets and jig color

    1. We used a clicker to keep track of what we had in the live well. We ended up 18 shy of limiting out for the three of us. Did not see the Game Warden's Saturday.

    2. We used a variety of colors. Mainly chartreuse firecracker, black/pink, black/char, white grub flip tail, char grub flip tail. Just had to keep throwing til you found what they wanted. With the three of us, we would tie on two colors, so we could try 6 at a time, then switch to what they seem to want at the time. Some of the time we were catching them on a variety. Red, Orange, plain and with flecks.

    Go figure.
