I'm planning on going fishin tomorrow on thunderbird. I'm launching out at Little River marina, does anyone have any advice as far a location, depth, or colors if I can get a little help I will give a complete report after fishing tomorrow. Thanks guys.
P.S. Do any of you think theres any fish up the creeks right now????
hotrod...it is tomorrow and you are on here playing...lol...my advice is find a friend with a key to little river and fish around the marina....I was there last week and saw quite a few fish caught there....boated all around the lake and got skunked....sure hope you do better than i did....
I'm waiting on this little neice of mine to get her bag together so we can go fishin.. Thanks for the heads up, i'll let ya know how we do. I appreciate the response.
i went to several of my favorite spots...marked fish and bait...but had no luck getting them to bite at....it must have just been my bad luck because like i said they were catching quite a few in the middle of the marina around some docked houseboats...im thinking about getting the boat hooked up and going myself...but i have just about waited to long to get moving...keep your eyes open around the marina and on the west bank out to the point before open water...there is a bald eagle working around the area and makes for an awesome sighting
I fished thunderbird yesterday, got on the water at about noon and it took a bit to get on fish, we ended up killing the fish but having to sift through a ton of little ones. We ended up finding the fish in about 20ft of water in brush. we probably caught 200 fish and ended up keeping 38 fish all over 10", fished until dark. I went today to the same spot and the bite was the same, we caught fish every cast but only skinned 46. We caught fish vertical jigging and with a slip cork to cover more area, all fish were between 20' and 30'. We didnt catch any slabs at all but I put several bags in tha icebox it was reallly fun. Colors were chartruse, red/chartrise,blue/white,blue/pink. All were caught on hand tied feather jigs, I did try a minnow rig but it was to much trouble to tend and the fish were no bigger than the jig so I aborted on the minnow. Happy fishin fellas and thanks for the response again on this thread lazy I appreciate you at least takin the time to acknowledge it.
Hotrod, great report. Glad to hear you found them and they wanted to bite.

Common sense isn't always that common!
Hotrod,
I just want you to know that I typed up a nice long reply the other day about what I'd do this time of year. Had where to go and what to use and how to use it...then iexplorer froze up on me before I could hit the post button. I lost the whole thing, got logged out and everything. Time I got it back to working I was so mad I didn't want to type it again. The main points you figured out anyway. I had them at 15-25 ft, on brush, with anything chart or pink. Glad you found 'em!
