    Default Rigrunner's Deer

Rigrunner traded his fishing pole for a gun until mid-January. This morning he braved the elements and 23 degree temp. and bagged this 11 point deer. on our farm. There are more over there so now it is my turn. He is a happy man today...kind of a day late birthday present.

We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing."

That's a beauty and I'm very happy for Rigrunner to have bagged this nice buck. Tell him I said "congratulations!":D

Our rifle season opened the first Saturday in November here in Texas. It closes in the middle of January. We also can take one buck and four does this year . Plenty of deer in Wheeler County and our farm is overrun with them critters. Hope you get a big one too.

Wheeler County...I bet you're infested with the Thunder Chickens too!!

I know a lot of people love to deer hunt, but a pretty spring morning in the woods with the turkeys is as close to heaven as I'll ever get on this earth.

We saw about 100 turkeys a mile north of our home two days ago. We have them on our farm also. Very common here.
