    Here's my take....

We dont have enough LEO's to properly enforce the laws we already have, or a judicial system that will prosecute to the letter of the law, so why produce new laws with no real value? I'm certain that the bridges over the lakes of Oklahoma are not a likely target of terrorists, foreign or domestic. I feel we would be better protected if we had people fishing under the bridges, i.e., keeping an eye out.

Folks have been fishing under our bridges long before terrorism even existed, without an incident. One things for sure, this will be sore spot if they try to actively enforce.

Just my rant and I'll shut up now

I contacted an individual at ODWC earlier this year regarding enforcement of this law. He is in a decision making position. He indicated that he was not aware of the law, but after doing some checking indicated that they were not going to enforce the law regarding being illegal to tie up to bridges. Your choice, as for me, I'll tie up to the bridge.

Good. Hopefully the OK State Troopers feel the same way.

I do know of 2 fisherman that were targeted, 1 was issued a warning, the other got irate and recieved a ticket, {how much he did not say}. I totally agree with all who oppose this rediculous law, something we might want to invite an Ok. lake patrolman to the get-together to explain further.....although I fear it being a federal law this could be futile to overturn, even though these lakes were purchased with taxpayer funds, these same funds pay for enforcement as well. The triangle here on Eufaula is usually crowded with boats under all 3 bridges in summer....this year they looked deserted!
