Here's a set of spalted Maple 3pc. grips mounted on St.Croix 3S50UL Avid series blanks for the "Laserdoc" on the main board.:D
And he selected the blue -tio skeleton seat and blue-tio guides....sweet.
I also have a red cedar / chameleon guides St.Croix 3S60U.L. red wraps.
And another 3S50U.L. Standard H-Ring guides / Walnut handle.
I know most are in the woods now, but dock / marina fishing will be in full swing by blackpowder week. Also keep in mind I can add names to finished rods for great gifts! And these U.L.'s also crossover for trout as well.![]()

man those are awesome
"Mister, I love the way you wear that hat."
"You don't know nothin'."
Very nice. I like those seat and guides. Nice touch.
We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing."
I would like to some day try a custom rod just to feel the deference and get away from the china stuff. Where are the blanks made? I have been using a 6'6" UL here lately for jigging and like it a lot. How much would something like this cost? and would you recommend any thing else?
Empty; The rods in the post are St.Croix and are made in Park Falls Wisconsin, short of G-Loomis I think they are as good as it gets in their price range { 3 grades to choose from} Our standard brand we use are out of Woodland Washington from Batson Enterprises and are 43 million modulas graphite which are in my honest opinion the best value/performance blanks out there.
Proven models we have used for years specifically for crappie. The SC3's from St. Croix are in the $160.00 to $200.00 range depending on your handle/component choices. The Batson RX7 / RX6 models run $79.00 to $125.00 respectivley also depending on hardware, both carry warranty's. We are close to completeing our new website with all models listed with pic's of the rods loaded, and the rod weights in onces as well to help in choosing the rods to fit your specific fishing needs.![]()

Hey thanks for the reply. I love the maple handles with the anodized guides! I am use to Falcon rods for the "green carp" so the price is not to bad. What is a reel you all prefer?

Anytime, just request which setup you like and I can put together an estimate for you and send it e-mail. The pic's of the maple tell 1/2 the story turn them and the grain looks holographic! Plus the balance point is on the front hood of the reel seat. Reels? If casting and retrieving it's Shimano, for vertical dippin anything that holds line works for me in a 025 to 1000 series.
