Let me introduce myself, My name is Bill Lowery and I grew up in Guthrie, OK. Spent 20 years in the Navy and Retired. I am a avid fisherman and fishing in Crappie tornements all over and currently belong to Crappie USA(Cabelas) and Crappie Masters(Basspro) I donate money to both! HA! notice I didn't mention recieving money! I would like to offer myself as a starting point on getting a club off the ground and see if we can make it work! My beleifs are that to protect something you love to do be it Fishing or Hunting the youth is the key in the future of your sport! So in saying that, I think a club should focus on everyone in the family and getting as many freinds fishing as well! Second we in Oklahoma do not realize how fortunate we are to have so many quality lakes and ponds within our state! Get a map out and look at how far other folks in other states have to drive to get to any water! much less productive fishing water as we have in Oklahoma. Hey lets get family and freinds together and move around our state and meet each other and attempt to promote our great state and our great sport of fishing. Here is my info:

I know several that would fish down this way for sure
an okie crappie club sounds awesome. i would love to join once it gets started. keep us posted on the progress of forming this group
It's been kicked around here before...nobody took it by the horns. Does CUSA still qualify a team out of a recognized crappie club?

I think it would be a great idea! We need to throw a jackpot weekend tournament together and see who shows up. God's knows Crappie USA and Crappiematers are not coming to Oklahoma anymore! Except for Kaw lake and that practically in Kansas! We have fished enough tournaments to know what to do and what not to do! An Oklahoma Crappie.com tournament if it goes good do more! Most guys it's about the fishing and the fellowship, not the money! Just my 2 cents! EB
I nominate Lip Rippers and Big George. Both are great guys and honest fisherman!
Thanks E.B., but the limited tourney's I've fished the fish started to bite just before weigh in so I never made it in line! If this goes and I think it will, going to hafta watch those Kansas.com boy's slidin down here.![]()

Look at how CAT has grown down here in Texas.
Do it and we can have another version of the Red River Challenge!!
Ain't no use if it ain't chartreuse!
Well it sounds like we have enough people interested to move forward! I guess everybody interested needs to get me some names and numbers so that we can work towards getting together and move towards a meeting! My e-mail is: blowery@emiok.com and my cell is 405-623-5445.
I am about like Eufaula Boy, I just like fishing for the fellowship and not really for the money. Would I be interested in fishing some tournaments, but just for a little bragging rights or maybe if we could get some companies to donate prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd. The only thing is I know times are tough for them too and getting donations might be a little tough.
My biggest problem is I work shift work and for me to attend meetings or even tournaments will be tough, but I will make what I can.
