Thread: Rocky Top Slabs results {pics}

After waiting all weekend for the rain to stop, I went down to our cove and tried out these Rocky Top Slabs in 2" & 3" elec.chickens, The largest black was 13" and the largest white 12 1/2" I'm tellin you they throttled this jig!


Used a white 1/32 Chatt Martin headlite jig on bottom and a 1/32 rigged with a Key Lime Garland on top / 2-10 PP and 5 1/2' Red Cedar U.L. rod. Honorable mention....3lb. channel cat for a kicker. Crappie are in 3' to 6' ow. here on overcast days. Go to FinnyTribe dot com and take a look at his line of baits Jay Don Reeve and family are great to deal with and know crappie fishing!:D

Man, you know how to catch them for those are beauties. We should be fishing soon.....as soon as wheat planting is over!

I guess so, I had to throw back 2 dozen dinks to get a mess......but that's dock fishin. And I will take all I can get on this shallow bite. This morning had 6 keepers all blacks and only color they hit was black gum Garlands.
