Thread: Oologah

Any suggestions where to fish Lake Oologah for crappie. I don't have a boat so looking for docks or shore fishing. Thanks!

I used to fish the old Red Bud marina, dont know if it's there anymore? Reaper and co. can tell you more on Oolagah.

find your way to goose island and slip cork there you should catch some there as it is ledges there and there is always crappie near ledges

I spent Sunday morning at Talala Creek with my youngest daughter. Lake is up at least 6-8' and dang near had the turn around covered at the bottom of Vada Ramp. It was one of those times when you drove half through water, half on dry land. We caught two dinks and tried 5 different spots.

I've never had much luck when the water gets over 5' above normal.

As for bank fishing, North side below the dam when they're running water is sometimes good. Go to the far west end of the parking lot and fish the slew and the eddy of the river.
