I have been too busy to do anything but read the post this summer.
My Minnkota on my Procraft has a bent shaft, and the seal is out letting the motorfill with water. Does anyone have one for sale. It is a bow mount foot controlled 65 pounder.
I am disappointed in it, it's only the 3rd season and since I helped my son build a house last year and only had 3 fishing trips, it actualy has had 2 seasons. I know I have banged into a few things but my last two Motorguides were treated a lot rougher and one lasted 10 years on a 21 ft pontoon boat (still working when sold) and 6 years on the Procraft.
My MK had a 3 year warranty. I would contact MK.

I doubt if a bent shaft would be covered under a warranty.
You could replace the seals and stop the water from entering. You could also order a new shaft for it and most likely be just fine.
Should you decide to sell it cheap, let me know, I could stand for an upgrade.
Here's a thread similar to yours.

Sorry I haven't got back on sooner, I dropped it off at Robbie's Tues. He has an armature in stock and will fix it up. Should have it back in time for my two brothers coming down from Wyoming next week. We will be at Grand with the RV's
