Default Looking for a good boat motor mechanic

... or a good judge! I think it was Reaper that put on here about a guy in Inola. Searched here and online but can't find a contact. I have a 1977 Johnson 55 hp that I am trying to resurrect after years of sitting. I think has an intake leak. It won't idle. Tried carb cleaner. Figure it is a leak on intake or the carb needs pulled apart. I am near Stillwater, so any place near this part of the state would be great. Thanks Bob.

Bob, the guys name in Inola is Kelly Davis. His number is 918 855-5250. He worked on my boat this last Feb and did a great job. Tell him Doug and Craig sent you!

Thanks guys for the responses. Sorry for the delayed response. Been working a lot, then had back issues. Sucks to get old. Finding out the candle is getting close to the middle, and to slow up some.

Sound like a potential "Team Geezer" member to me. Check out the June Geezer Camp in Camping Sub-forum.

I would be a proud member of Team Geezer. I get called old guy at Academy fairly often. I have several years until retirement yet. I have used and abused my body in years past so it makes sometimes feel old at 49. Had a young man mistake me for another guy that is retired that works there, that he thought had just helped him earlier. His buddies gave him a hard time. I laughed and told him all us bald guys look alike!
