Thanks Dirk; you cant believe how well the wood transmits vibrations to your hand, pictures just dont do them justice.

Thanks Z; They are incapsulated with an epoxy coating making them waterproof, this is esential so the wood is preserved, I wrapped them in a bronze metallic to match the handle.

fish.on; I'm thinkin about putting on a rod building siminar, late winter timeline, it's really simple to build a good rod if you dont get too technical. I've had these handles since spring finally got time to build e'm up.

Sure thing I know it will generate lots of interest, I had an old striper rod mentor in Tulsa teach me the basics, say aroung 1986 or so.....he was a true craftsman.

Am interested. I would like to see an Oklahoma Crappie Club with events centered on Oklahoma timelines and lakes. Where members can display their jigs and techniques along with items such as poles reels etc. Maybe some recipe sharing and ideas that we could run down and talk to some of our ODWC officials about such as placement of brushpiles and fishing only areas (some places are dangerous for waverunners and skiers because of underwater obstacles etc.). We have just as much shoreline as the east and west coast combined and many fishermen who can see right through the junk of some of the tournament trails. I feel like if we had the interest we could start something that all could benefit from.
