Well I'm new to the board, but I would bet part of the reason is the crappie fishing isn't as good as last summer. That's what I gather from people I've talked to anyway.

Between civic organization activities and honey do's I haven't fished much in the last two months and even then I haven't pulled in any crappie, just some bass and whiskerfish on two occasions. I think a lot of people have been doing the same type of things so they can have time to be out when it begins to cool down. Also consider fall brings with it football, school, other sports, etc. Personally once october hits I put down the fishing rods in favor of shotguns and rifles until Jan.

My work schedule has been too hectic to even try to go out, though I feel like calling in sick every nice day to go.

My boat misses my too. I think it's going to divorce me!

Though soon I'll need to get my fishing out of the way before deer and duck season start.

Been a couple of times the past month at the Big "O" with limited sucess on brush piles, mostly small ones. I was waiting for October but work might get in the way,Mother-in-law moving ect..... Water temp on the Big "O" monday was 72 on the main lake and 79 up in Blue creek, Dad meet me up there and we caught some Blues over by Goose Island. By the way George, how do I get to your place, would like to try out one of your new rods.

Weather and rain has been a real bummer and the crappie have been small and slow.

Went out on gibson last friday and kept 5 from 10 1/2 to 13 1/4. It's just been to hot to be out there, until reciently.

Went to the same spot yesterday and didn't get zip. Except a carp jig snagged in the eyeball

Spun the prop 2 miles from the ramp. So that ended the day kinda early

There were tons of shad in the coves and lots of little sandies busting em.
