Default Green fishing light

Has anyone used any of the many versions of the green light (fishing secret) or light sticks at night to try and catch fish? I got a deal in my email form them and the video looks too good to be true. Any one?

The cheap ones work fine I wouldn't spend more than $30 on any of them and usually they should be under 20. They do work and they don't have to be green.

I paid $20 for my 4 footer and it works fine. It does require a 10 oz sinker to keep it down

What they said. Some on the main board swear by green, some by white. Evening secret? Ultra high dollar green light with maybe $10 worth of materials. Save your $$$, go with something middle of the road price wise.

From my experience any floating lights will attract the baitfish, but the submersibles are the ones that supposedly hold the fish, seems like the trick is to hold the sub. lights above the fish 2' or so as they will feed under the lights better, plus if you go too deep it can be a sandbass only trip.

When fishing in 8 to 10 feet of water how deep do you need to lower the green light? And how long should it take before catching fish? I've never fished with lights before but am going to try it before winter. I've been crappie fishing for years, but not at night.

sink the green tube light down till just the top of the light sicks out of the water. the light will not attract any bugs that way . it Will take about 20 min to see a bunch of minnows

I have a four foot and two small ones. I do not think the four foot was worth buying. I think the two small ones, one at each end of the boat work a lot better.

Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try next week. I have two short 18 inchers I'll use. The 4 footer was too expensive for me.
