Default Shawnee Twin Lakes

I am heading out to see how they are biting today. I have had GREAT luck this year at the bridge just SOUTH of lake road on Walker. I do fish the fishing dock some but, lately it has been very slow their for me.

Today I will fish with fresh minnow's and jigs. I will report results when I can posably from my smart phone while I am fishing!

Default OK heres the story so far...

I went and guess what the wife and kids decided to come too. So we went to the dock. I caught 1 very small sauguy and one small Bass. Never saw a Crappie.
After several hours the kids were getting WAY past bored so we came on back home. I have over a dozen minnows left so I MAY go back tonight and try my new Crappie light at the dock. I have tried it twice but, kinda like today the people with me always give up too soon so I have had poor results so far with it.

I will report back any results...

Night trip? I don't even like to launch the boat till 1 a.m. First hours of dark are usually slow anyway. 1 a.m. till 10 a.m. is a good time.

We have went to the fishing dock a few times right after dark. As I said ealer everyone with me each time is ready to leave too early. I may try to go back to the fishing dock next weekend but not START untill after 1AM and see how that goes.

Thanks for the advise..

Fishing docks are completely different. There is no telling when crappie might move through, so a middle of the night start may do you no good. Make sure you try every spot you can in the dock. From deep, to shallow. You might get lucky and come across a Hot Spot that produces fish after fish. Fishing docks can be slow as heck, but so can sitting in one spot in a boat.

If your friends want to leave so early, I suggest you go by yourself. I've been doing it for over 35 years. I fish till I'm beat, and don't have to worry about anyone else.
