Default Oologah bite

Just heard from a friend last night that the Crappie on Oologah have recently decided to start hitting. He said that he has been catching them in around 18' of water, about 9-10' deep near brush. Most fish are 11-13" in length. Kinda makes me want to venture out come Sunday.

He normally fishes the points from Talala Creek, out towards the main lake. Usually the ones off from the ramp, out. He told me he fished the timber and on up the creek and got skunked there.

We've fished Winganon the last two weekends and done OK. We caught a dozen good ones Saturday one weighed 2lb.1oz and another 2 lbs. with another 4 close to 2 lbs. We caught another 25 or so smaller crappie and a few sandbass and channels. It's been about the same each day with us averaging 12 to 15 keepers. I've been casting jigs at a depth of about 8 ft. and my partner has been drop shotting minnows. The shad are there and the best colors seem to be black and chartruese, black and pink, and electric chicken.
