Default Broken Bow?

Anybody got a recent report from their, will be taking the family up their during the holiday. Never been on the lake before, trying to figure out if it's worth dragging the boat up their.

Does it have a alot of standing timber?
Or mainly underwater structure or both?

I mainly fish North Central TX lakes for crappie.

Do they pearch/brim/gills good zized ones? Would not mind getting in a mess of them.

Thanks for any advise or help on the lake.

Marc

Marc, This is one of the best lakes in the state for a mixed variety of species, it has standing timber { mostly Cedar ] plus endless under ater structure, one of the best Smallmouth/spotted bass lakes, also dont be surprised fishing deeper structure you catch Walleye's, you will love this lake!!!

If a guy wanted to target Walleye on Broken Bow what can you tell me. When is the best time and what part of the lake. I fly fish below the dam for rainbows and love it there. Would love to bring my boat and go catch some walleye.

The locals say find a hump on your locator thats marking fish, drag cranks over it when you locate walleye's then drop jigs down to work the humps thorougly, they can also be caught on ledges/dropoffs on this lake as well. most of this hump fishing is closer to the dam.

Anyone one know a multi-species guide on Broken Bow? Plan is to camp there on Labor Day week. Would like a guide for crappie on Aug 30-31.
