Do we have anyone on this forum that can give info on crappie fishing at Arbuckle? Saw a guy yesterday who bass fishes Arbuckle and he said they have been catching lots of large crappie there while fishing for bass. It's not too far from me so I thought I might try it (when the wind gets below 40mph) but I haven't been on that lake in about 25 years. Any info would be valuable,

Last year I went to Arbuckle once about this time. I only caught 5 jigging off a dock on the NE side of the lake, but they were nice sized, and seriously the most beautiful crappie I've ever caught! I heard then that they were biting much better on the marked brush piles out in the lake, but I didn't have access to a boat. I hope I don't get in trouble for saying "beautiful" in a fishing forum! My wife is really rubbing off on me...found myself saying "cute" the other day...excuse me while I go jump off a cliff...

I was at the fishing dock by Guy Sandy ramp about a week ago and they were catching Crappie in the 10-12" size. I talked to a few of the guy's and they said that it was slow.
