Heck of an idea. On my rod wrapping stand I use a small bobbin that you would use to tie jigs/flies with.

I've used those too, plus Flex Coat charges $68.00 for the Jr. wrapper. This one lacks the travel of the thread, but could be added on a little track / slide.
