Default Oologah report

I managed to get out this morning for a couple of hours. I started fishing about 0730 and fished until 1000. I caught about 50 fish and kept 13 nice ones, all over 10 inches with a couple of 13 inchers. I caught them over brush in 15 fow. I could have caught more but ran out of minnows and they were very slow on jigs. Next time i'll buy more minnows. The wind was a little stronger than the weather channel said so i had to anchor over the pile. After I ran out of minnows i cruised around in 14-20 fow and marked about a dozen more brush piles. You can never have too many places to fish. Any one else been fishing?

Caught about a dozen with six of them being nice keepers in Spencer Creek this morning. I actually was supposed to be jug fishing for blues but it's hard not to see if the crappie are biting. Then I couldn't find shad anyway. Didn't see the gazzillions of shad in Spencer like I was seeing last month. The crappie seem to be in much better shape this time of year than last.

Went out Saturday with a buddy and took home 61 keepers. I'm sure we caught over a hundred counting all the small ones. They were really biting good on minnows. We had a few 14 and 15 inchers. Caught em on brush piles. Doug they've had me working overtime Fridays the last few weeks. I think I have this Friday off but I'm not sure what I have planned. Thanks for the offer to go fishing. Hope we can go sometime before it gets really cold.

We got to fish a couple of hours Wed. evening. The bite was a lot slower for us than it had been. We managed to catch about 35 fish and kept 12 pretty nice fish, nothing big though. We fished about 5 different brush piles that we had really been catching them on. Maybe they are moving to the fall pattern a little early. I won't get to go until next week, working today, then going to Dallas this weekend for the OU game. If anyone gets to go fishing please post the results.

I say BOOMER!!!!!!

Relsults are..... Reaper and the twins, 11 keepers, dinks, 35. Dinks WIN!
I cleaned those 11, tossed them in a ziplock with water and ice, proceeded with the kids to Grandmas house to watch the Okie State win and the OU fiasco. State turned out to be a pleasant surprise, OU fan watched their season blow up with the injury to Bradford.

Cooked the Crappie at the start of the OU game, fed 4 adults and three kids and still had a few peices of fish left. Biggest fish of the day was about 1.5lbs that came off a 1/32oz homespun jig, tipped with a minnow slowing dragging it along the bottom in 8' of water.

Got to see Whisperer and his runnin buddy Jim. Also got to cuss out a couple of guys passing our anchored boat at about 1/4 throttle creating a heck of a wake. I sent them a double one finger salute to boot. Clowns like that, especially when I have the kids in the boat just chap my butt more than anything. I dare any of them to get close enough for me to jump into their boat and whip them all for being stupid.

We're going back out today sometime, but rest is on the schedule for now.
