Hell I didn't even get to keep my spots in my divorce. You must have had a better lawyer than I did!

Ugh....I had no clue what I was doing today. Tried docks and got nothing. I also tried to find some brush to fish but still do not have any idea what I am looking at. Practice practice practice!

Winter is here and so is my favorite time of the year for crappie fishing. Got a few reports for Grand but no pictures.

Been doing some fishing up Spring river north of twin bridges and doing pretty good. Not tons of fish, but catching some absolute giants, 13 and 14 inch fish very common. Just scanning the river for brush piles in 10 to 20 fow. Takes a lot of moving around from pile to pile to find what depth the crappie are at that particular day. Been throwing weedless jigs and letting it fall to the bottom of the pile and bringing it up, the fish just smash it.
Been hitting Indian hills heated dock some, crappie are hit and miss. Bite is best in the daylight hours. Early November it was easy to catch a limit, this weather has messed them up a little but there are still some nice fish to be caught. My best luck has been in 12 - 18 fow fishing about 10 feet deep, been throwing Bobby Garland baby shads in monkey milk for my best results.
Last report comes from the south end of the lake. Went out Thanksgiving morning and had a limit in less than an hour of fishing. Started scanning steep and deep coves in and around duck creek. Found the crappie in about 25 fow suspended at about 15 feet. Color didn't seem to matter, the bite was fast and furious. My friend and I had 2 limits in no time.

Anyhow, there is my Grand report. Hope it helps anyone looking for a bite, any more questions feel free to pm me.

No luck for me today around the Bernice area. Lots of clutter in the lake still. Could the lake be turning over?

I went down to the south end a few days ago, it was still really muddy.
You might try the elk river arm dyabolical, there should be a few easy to hit schools on either sunken bridge if your going by boat.
