Just got back from a 9 day rip to Okeechobee Lake. We fished the Kissimmee river for 8 days straight and caught 8 limits. Numerous 2lb + fish caught. I'd highly recommend it.

Friend of mine lives about 3/4 mile from the Ohio River. He said the river was in his back yard on Wednesday when the river peaked.
I did get out a coup[e of days during the middle of the week and caught a few gills and crappie at one of the "local lakes". Most were small but it was good to get out.
I'm headed to Alabama on the 25th. I hope all this flooding settles down soon. Everything up north, heads down there.
Good luck down there John. It's been years since we fished it. River still flooded up here & I'm waiting patiently to get out on it.

    Thanks!
    You retire yet?
I hit the Ohio River with Robin a few times last summer. I was hoping we'd have some decent weather so I could hit those creeks this spring but it looks like it'll be awhile.
I can't wait to get back at it again this year.

Yes I’m 2 weeks into this retirement thing and I think I’m going to like it. Waiting for that water to go down.

Congrats to you....you're going to love it.
I was worried I may get bored after I retired but I have to say I've never been as bored being off as I was at work.

The bite here in NE Ohio was garbage yesterday! Hit a couple different lakes wading with Bprice1301. Only hooked up with two crappie didn’t land either lost them both about 6 feet in front of me. Only managed 6 fish between the two of us. The cold front really slowed things down. The wind didn’t help us much either.

It was better than sitting at home thinking about fishing. I still don't know how you didn't end up with wet feet when we waded to that island. All in all it was a fun day.
