I will be at the Cracker Barrel this Saturday....what time...still 8am???
My life has really been a mess lately because of work....since January I have been working 70-92 hours a week. I have not fished since May with Dale.
I did make it out last Saturday and did well...got out about 4pm and fished till 7pm. Chartreuse and White 3 inch Easy shiners were the ticket on a cloudy day in deep water. Ended up with 2 Gators and 17 nice Crappie.
End of the Fiscal year is over and things are slowing down...Dale's Football season is now over, I started lifting with him to get back into some sort of shape. lol...and hopefully I can get out a couple more times before I put my Man Card away for Winter.
Hope to see you all Saturday!

Had a good time at the meet and greet and we learned a few things about CJ and best of all it was a get away as the weather has not been helpful to most of us. Biggest thing was that ODNR put in around a million eye fingerlings so the lake has been changing with the help of the attractor that were placed in over the years as well as the over abundant bate fish the eye population is growing so we as fishermen must change along with mother CJ to catch her bounty. Hope to do it again in the next month or two so see everyone then .

Should have seen the 13.5 lb Gator that they netted earlier in the Spring for eggs....she was a beauty, Dale was flabbergasted at the size!
They had quite a few stud Gators this year, I think seeing that helped him realize what is in the Lake! Oh, that's right, CJ Gator fishing is dead! lol

I'm right there with ya brother. I've been so busy I haven't even been on the forum and missed the CB breakfast a couple weeks ago. I was able to make it out some for bow season. At least enough to clean trails and check stands. Ended up with a nice basket rack 8pt right before the gun season madness started. Now, lets talk about getting in shape :D have I got a deal for you My time has gone to a new endeavor in your back yard. Come see me at the old Upper Valley Mall down by Sears. Little place call Vallance Okinawan Martial Arts. I'm there every evening after I finish up with my day job.
Keitech has a few new interesting colors for me to try out in 2018....Perch, Alewife, Goby, and Ghost Rainbow Trout.
Perch should be a Gator favorite....Alewife looks to be a nice addition when shad are popular in summer....Goby will be a Smallie bait where gobies are a food source. Ghost Trout just looks interesting to me and worth a trial.
Some years fish go away from normal patterns and can be tricked by the weirdest combos....some research shows that fish remember colors, sizes, shapes, that hurts them or give them a bad experience....but they lack long term memory???
