Man I haven't been up to fish CJ since before the drop; been too busy on the rivers. I think I may try to get up there this weekend on the yak and stick close to the bank if they have come in shallow. I've still only ever caught one eye there (this year) and think now would be a good time to have another go at it.

Hey Flannel, you need to look at the afternoon/evening timeframe....I'll be out in the morning and check, but I'm only catching decent fish later on!
There is normally not an early morning bite in late Fall...they wait for a couple degrees of warmth later in the day to fire them up!

The "Powers That Be" there cannot erase what we the "Friends" did at CJ...THAT is our legacy, and if in the future our efforts inspire others to repeat our `success` on their own lake that will be about the 2cnd best thing we did. We already have encouraged at least 3 other officially approved spin off `groups` although am not certain if they are still active...

Too funny! The thread still is there, it has just moved back to page 4 due to the number of current fishing reports in that forum.

Fished Thursday Night, Friday Night, and Tonight....Crappie are biting and so are Gators!
Catching Crappie in deep water drops, and Gators exactly like early Spring around the rocky feeding flats that are holding heat and drawing shad!
The 2.8 Sight Flash (White/Clear silver glitter) has been Good for Gators, and The new French Pearl really works well in the sun for Slabs...I only received the French Pearl in the Easy Shiners that Jeff like's...still waiting for the 2.8 inch Fats...I don't like the Easy Shiners at all...But they have been catching limits! Also received the new 2 inch Easy Shiners for those "small bait" days.
All Crappie were legal...most in the 9.5 to 10 inch range, with 2 at 12 inches.
I have 1 more week to fish!
Tomorrow is 50% chance of rain and then the rest of the week is suppose to be nice...perfect time to fish!
    Good Fishing To All!

Way to go, Sir Intimidator ! Am a 10`X 10` thick piece of plastic, 105 blocks, a pickup truck bed of fine gravel, 22 80lb bags of Quikcrete and 3 `young guns` short of finishing the "Big Dig"...next have to disassemble a 40` tall white pine tree, probably over the winter. HM...wonder how many "BB"s could make outta said tree ?

(HM...if could get the top 10` of said tree to CJ, am curious if a 55 gallon barrel of cement would sink it assuming no one noticed it out on the ice...?)
