Thread: Highlandtown lake?

I saw that it is lited on the odnr as one of the top Crappie lakes in the state? Is it worth th trip? I'm new at Crappie fishing and was thinking of giving it a shot.

I've heard that spring is the time there for big crappie. Lots over 12in and some around 16-17in

i grew up 5 miles from highlandtown lake and crappie was never that great, i fish it every year when i return to visit (live in missouri now) and have very little luck, however u can check with merriman bait and tackle shop it right next to the lake on st.rt. 39
