Thread: Ohio River? Anyone crappie fishing...

Anyone fishing for crappie lately on the Ohio River? Looking for any kind of a report on the Big O. Sure would appreciate a report, good or bad.

I've been the last 2 weekends. It's been hard to catch a mess. Last Saturday I fished all day and had 4 keepers with maybe 4 or 5 small ones. Tough fishing to say the least. I'll be out Sunday again.

What ramp do you use and has there been alot of fishing pressure where you been fishing, do you ever ramp in Augusta and if so is there a launch fee and have you ever had any trouble with anybody messing with your truck or trailer. I forgot to ask this in my previous post, is there a bait shop in Augusta where someone can get minnows.

I launch in Augusta, Ky or Ripley, Ohio. Free in Augusta and 4.oo in Ripley. Never had any trouble in either place. Augusta does have a baitshop/Liquor store combo. He always has good minnows. More fishing pressure now than in years past for sure.
