Hey everybody:
Going to Caesar Creek soon for the first time. Does anybody have any advice for fall crappies on the lake? I know it is pretty deep. Am i better off in the North or South end of the lake this time of year? Any advice would help out a lot. Thanks!!
go in the river!!!!!!!
water temp is 62.9 in the main lake this morning...
Biggest crappies i ever caught came from there in the winter(54 water temp). We do purty well in the fall fishing timber, but we normally wind up fishing for saugeyes and perch and unlike tbone, we fish deep! Just gotta put your time in on that lake.
Mikes out there right now, i'll let ya know how he does tonight, but he sucks, so it might not be much help.

Thanks for the help. We were up there this morning scouting out the boat ramps before football. We went to the main ramp that everybody uses at the bottom and the ramp at the very top of the lake. The top looked really good with lots of standing timber but who knows. I have nothing else better to do next Sunday! :D
Mike caught some fish yesterday, mostly little ones. Caught fish from the river to the dam, better fish were towards the river(how does t-bone always know? LOL).
The ramp near the dam is wellman, and if you put in there, and idle around towards your left, you wander back into a deep cove with some sweet timber, i'm sure a person could find some big black crappies back in there.

Now I know why they say "Y"-slabs... Tbone is right Caesar Creek is part of the Little Miami River
The Caesar Creek valley was impounded in 1978 by the Army Corps of Engineers to assist with flood control in the Little Miami River watershed. The 4,700 acre park and adjacent 2,500 acre wildlife area were dedicated that year

What would be the best bait to use? We were just going to get a bucketfull of minners and some slip bobbers, but we also have various road runner heads and bodies. Also, what size are we looking at here? It's not full of 8.5 inchers is it?
Thanks you all for everything. This is really helping us try and figure out what we're gonna do.
come on yates, watershed not river. the discharge travels to the river and dumps into it just below the covered bridge! there are two main creeks that feed the lake. one goes under new-burlington rd, the other under 380. You stickin up for your boy??
Don't forget it being feed by Anderson Fork also.
