Thread: Night Crappie with a bonus...

Headed out to my local res. Tuesday night right at dusk with a bucket of minnies. Managed to get a few keepers. These are give or take, right around 10" but were pretty thick.



The big fish of the night came when I threw some of my dead bait out by my bobber. Within 30 seconds, bobber gone and pole started sliding towards the lake! Pretty fun on my UL with 4lb. Waking up this morning @ 6 to go to work wasn't much fun......

Hey, just wanted to let you know that the crappie are hittin in clyde(racoon creek) had a few nice ones yesterday. Tell scum frog to show you where they are. I dont come on here much, but this is a very cool sight. I will have to come on here more often.

I was up at Beaver Creek over the weekend with the kids just to walk around. Water is low, the spawning shelf was completely out of the water. Looked very clear there and was thinking of trying maybe this coming weekend, but may just have to head into town instead! :D I'm definitley going to have to hook up with you guys soon. Thanks for the info!! Also nice to see another member in NW OH.

They pump water out of beaver and into racoon creek all the time. if beaver is low, that means "the coon" is high. they are actually hooked together. Some guys dont know that. Yes it is too low. That shelf is where I catch them in the spring. I'm not sure how the fall bite will be out there. I might check that out this weekend also.

I like beaver hunting and racoon hunting so these sound like my type of places

If I was pulling St. Pauli Girl out of the lake...... I'd be real happy!!! The wife probably wouldn't see me much anymore but.............:D
