just kinda bored and wondering, kinda a poll type question, whats you favorite way to fish for crappie, what i mean by that is your favorite technique? what do you find the most fun? what technique do you find boring?
my personal favorite is long line trolling as of right now, although watching a cork slowly disappear in to the depths is a very close second, i have been learning and trying new things trolling and find it to be a good time to me. probably my least fav, but still fun to me, is verticle jigging, or anything that is a slower form of fishing.
hope every one is doing well, remember to keep all our brave soldiers and their familys in your prayers, no matter what your political veiws or how you feel about the wars, the fact is they are people with familys who deserve our support. hope every one is doing well, God bless and hope to see you all on the water soon.

Long line trolling is fast becoming my chosen way to fish...
For Catfish, Crappie, and Saugeye, They like to tackle my
Crankbaits, Road Runners, and Vib-E's. The reaction bite is
better than watching a bobber while melting under the hot
sun.
It is really a quick way to locate the fish when they are not
necesarily holding close to the bank, and it's cover.
Stay safe!
My five year old is demanding a green smiley face on the
top of the screen - I did it, now I hope, I can put her to bed?

Throwing cranks has become my fav, just more active. Rapala jointed shad-rap's have been doing excellent, but crazy expensive!! You don't want to throw these around structure...... almost $8 a pop!!!!! I also troll cranks and jigs pretty often.
2nd favorite has been the night stalks I have been doing latley. Have it down to a head lamp and light sticks on my bobbers... no other lights. I have seen guys hauling wagons loaded with gear and I go out for onshore fishing with 1 bucket, 1 tackle bag and 2 poles.
Least fav, sittin' in the hot sun fishing deep water with minnies waiting for my slip bobber to go under. Kinda funny, this is the way I got started into crappie and is now my least fav. Learnin' as I go.....
probably be a tie between slow vertical trolling, and vertical jigging timber.

Most of the time, I'd have to say swimming a jig is my favorite.
It's not always the most effective, but I live for that "tic"
