and Archie was there for a dedication of part of Hwy 49, through Drew, being renamed Manning Blvd. He told a story about Eli being a resident of Oxford...his new house was finished not long ago. Seems this young neighbor wanted Eli's autograph on his football. Archie was there for the weekend. The young boy asked his mom if it would be ok and she told him yes, just don't stay long and bother them. The boy must have stayed longer than he was supposed to because his mother was asking him questions when he got home. The boy told her that Eli signed his ball but there was this "old man" there that got the ball and wanted to sign it too. This was his reason for taking so long...since he did not know who that "old man" was.
